China Tower Records 10% Profit Growth in H1 as Revenue Rises 4%

China Tower (HKG:0788) recorded a profit attributable to owners of 5.33 billion yuan for the six months ended June 30, up 10% from 4.84 billion yuan in the corresponding period last year, a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.

Earnings per share rose to 0.0305 yuan from 0.0277 yuan from a year ago. The figure was in line with EPS estimates of 0.03 yuan based on a consensus of analysts' estimates compiled by Visible Alpha.

The company's revenue for the period came in at 48.25 billion yuan, 3.8% higher than the 46.46 billion yuan recorded in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting revenue of 48.68 billion yuan.

The company recommended an interim dividend of 0.01090 yuan per share for the period.

The company's shares were up over 2% in recent trade.
