0908 GMT - Singtel is likely to post underlying profit growth for 1Q FY 2025, Hussaini Saifee of Maybank Research writes in a note. Revenue was likely helped by firm mobile revenue growth but counterbalanced by enterprise softness and forex weakness, Saifee writes. There is an ongoing turnaround at Australia business Optus, while key associates AIS and Globe have already reported core profit growth for the latest quarter's earnings, Saifee notes. There is potential of Singtel paying about 9.0 Singapore cents in dividends over the next six months, translating to about 5% annualized yield, Saifee adds. Maybank keeps its buy rating on the stock with a target price of S$3.40. Singapore markets are closed for a holiday. (kimberley.kao@wsj.com)
