IHI (TYO:7013) said its subsidiary, Niigata Transys, delivered rotary snowplows with specifications different from those presented to customers, according to a delayed filing.
The snowplows were modified to show improved snow removal capacity during performance tests, affecting 1,239 vehicles sold between 2007 and 2017.
IHI is investigating the financial impact and plans to retest the affected models to ensure they meet performance specifications and will take measures to prevent recurrence.
