Rate expectations now suggest that the US Federal Reserve may \"retain more flexibility in its policy easing process compared to one that is being forced by higher economic risks.\"The \"good news is good news\" mantra is likely to remain in play, with the Fed laying the groundwork for upcoming easing, Yeap noted.As for the ASX, it managed to regain its footing over the past week, in line with the recovery in global risk sentiments, said Yeap.In company news, Aurizon Holdings (ASX:AZJ) reported earnings per share in the year ended June 30 rose 11% to AU$0.221, compared with the prior-year period's AU$0.199. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha expected EPS of AU$0.25.
