China Medical System Holdings' H1 Profit Falls on Lower Revenue; EPS, Revenue Miss Estimates

China Medical System Holdings (HKG:0867) attributable profit fell to 910.4 million yuan in the first half from 1.92 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the pharmaceutical company decreased to 0.3734 yuan from 0.7835 yuan. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at 0.33 yuan.

Turnover plunged to 3.61 billion yuan from 4.61 billion yuan. Visible Alpha analysts forecast revenue at 3.66 billion yuan.

The company declared an interim dividend of 0.1507 yuan per share, payable Sept. 9 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 2.
