Everbright Greentech Slashes Dividend as H1 Profit Slumps 45%

China Everbright Greentech (HKG:1257) recorded a profit attributable to equity shareholders of HK$143.9 million for the six months ended June 30, down 45% from HK$263.9 million a year ago.

The green energy producer logged earnings per share of HK$0.0697 for the reporting period, compared to HK$0.1277 a year earlier.

Revenue fell 8% to HK$3.51 billion due to a decline in revenue from the group's construction services and decreased unit treatment fees for the hazardous and solid waste segment.

The company declared an interim dividend of HK$0.014 per share, lower than the HK$0.025 per share paid last year, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
