Industrial Bank (SHA:601166) issued and listed $500 million bonds due in 2027 on the Hong Kong stock exchange, effective Thursday, according to a same-dated filing on the Shanghai bourse.
The bonds are part of the Chinese lender's $5 billion medium-term bond program.
The proceeds from the issuance will be used for projects related to the creation of jobs in small and micro enterprises, the company said.
Shares of the company rose almost 2% in recent trade.
