Laekna (HKG:2105) recorded a loss of 143.7 million yuan for the six months ended June 30, down from 217 million yuan a year ago.
The pharmaceutical company's loss per share dropped to 0.40 yuan from 2.63 yuan a year earlier.
The firm's other income for the reporting period stood at 14.1 million yuan, a substantial increase from 3.2 million yuan a year prior.
The growth was driven by increased interest income from its bank deposits, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Additionally, Laekna's administrative expenses decreased by 15.6%. The losses related to fair value changes on financial instruments incurred a year ago were absent for the reporting period.
