JD Logistics' (HKG:2618) attributable profit for the second quarter surged to 2.03 billion yuan from 351.7 million yuan a year ago, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The logistics company's revenue was 44.2 billion yuan, up 7.7% from 41 billion yuan a year prior.
For the six months ended June 30, attributable profit was 2.26 billion yuan, or 0.36 yuan per share, rebounding from a loss of 637.2 million yuan, or 0.10 yuan per share, a year earlier.
Revenue for the first half increased 11% to 86.3 billion yuan from 77.8 billion yuan in the year-ago period.
Shares of the company closed nearly 3% lower on Thursday.
