Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV) discovered "exceptionally" high-grade gold mineralization at its Titan prospect within the Karratha gold project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
Rock chip samples returned assays exceeding 10,000 grams per tonne of gold, with other samples yielding 6,520 g/t and 10.2 g/t of gold.
Assays also returned high copper values, including 23.8% copper and 14.6% copper.
Exploration delivered evidence of multiple new zones for gold mineralization that could contain the potential for large scale deposits, said Executive Director George Ventouras.
"The next steps will allow us to refine these zones, delineate bona-fide prospects and work towards more targeted exploration efforts," Ventouras added.
Shares of the company rose 30% in recent trading.
