Dow Jones08-19

0851 GMT - Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index closed 0.8% higher at 17569.57 amid mixed regional trading. Sentiment in the market was likely boosted by the results from JD.com and Alibaba last week, Sonija Li, head of retail research at MIB Securities HK, writes in a note. Alibaba's annual general meeting later this week will also be on investors' radar. The Chinese e-commerce giant is expected to complete its primary listing in Hong Kong, which will pave the way for the stock's inclusion in the Stock Connect, Li adds. JD Health International rose 7.9%, Li Ning surged 7.5% and Wharf REIC gained 5.2%. Meanwhile, Zhongsheng Group fell 3.4%, Orient Overseas (International) lost 2.4% and Budweiser Brewing Co. APAC was 1.8% lower. (kimberley.kao@wsj.com)
