Optiscan Imaging (ASX:OIL) entered into a memorandum of understanding with the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine to advance research in veterinary medicine, according to a Monday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The MoU outlines a research agreement between the parties to trial clinical applications and develop clinical data for the company's digital confocal laser endomicroscopic imaging technology, with an initial focus on improving cancer detection and treatment in companion animals.
The planned research and testing aims to gather clinical data for US FDA clearance of the company's imaging platform for veterinary medicine, the filing said.
