Zhihu's Q2 Loss Narrows as Revenue Falls

Zhihu's (HKG:2390) attributable loss narrowed to 82.7 million yuan in the second quarter from 279.8 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Loss per share at the online question-and-answer platform narrowed to 0.30 yuan from 0.92 yuan. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated loss per share at 0.38 yuan.

Revenue declined to 933.8 million yuan from 1.04 billion yuan in the previous year. Visible Alpha analysts forecast revenue at 906.3 million yuan.

For the first half, attributable loss narrowed to 247.6 million yuan from 461.2 million yuan a year earlier. Loss per share narrowed to 0.88 yuan from 1.52 yuan. Revenue fell to 1.89 billion yuan from 2.04 billion yuan.
