Build King's Profit Plunges in H1

Build King Holdings (HKG:0240) saw a decline in attributable profit for the six months ended June 30 to HK$148.2 million from HK$250.3 million during the year-ago period, a Thursday bourse filing said.

Basic earnings per share stood at HK$0.119 during the interim period, down from HK$0.202 in H1 2023.

Revenue from services for the construction company rose to HK$6.47 billion in the first half from HK$5.97 billion a year prior.

The company has declared an interim dividend of HK$0.03 per ordinary share for the six months, payable on or around Sept. 26 to shareholders of record on Sept. 10.

Shares of the company were down nearly 9% in recent trade.
