TVB's H1 Loss Narrows as Revenue Slides; Shares Fall 3%

Television Broadcasts or TVB's (HKG:0511) attributable loss narrowed to HK$143.5 million in the first half from HK$406.7 million in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Loss per share at the broadcasting company narrowed to HK$0.33 from HK$0.93 in the previous year.

Revenue declined 3% to HK$1.51 billion from HK$1.56 billion a year earlier.

The broadcaster foresees revenue in its digital advertising and mainland China drama co-production to increase for the remainder of the year.

Shares slid 3% during Thursday's midday trading.
