Haier Smart Home's H1 Attributable Profit Jumps 16% on Higher Operating Income

Haier Smart Home's (SHA:600690, HKG:6690) attributable profit rose 16% to 10.4 billion yuan in the first half from 8.96 billion yuan, after adjustments, in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the Chinese home appliances company increased 17% to 1.12 yuan from 0.96 yuan in the previous year.

Operating income grew 3% to 135.6 billion yuan from 131.6 billion yuan, after adjustments, a year earlier.

Shares fell 2% in Hong Kong and about 1% in Shanghai during Wednesday's morning trading.
