China Petroleum & Chemical (SHA:600028, HKG:0386), or Sinopec, said attributable profit rose 1.7% to 35.7 billion yuan in the first half of the year from 35.11 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share at the petrochemical company increased 1% to 0.296 yuan from 0.293 yuan a year earlier.
Operating income declined 1.1% to 1.576 trillion yuan from 1.594 trillion yuan in the previous year.
The company declared an interim dividend of 0.146 yuan per share, payable Sept. 26 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 12.
