China Southern Airlines' (HKG:1055) attributable loss narrowed by 63% to 1.05 billion yuan in the first half from 2.88 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Loss per share at the airline narrowed 63% to 0.06 yuan from 0.16 yuan in the previous year.
Operating revenue grew 18% to 84.8 billion yuan from 71.8 billion yuan a year earlier.
Shares rose marginally in Hong Kong and Shanghai in recent trading.
