Seacon Shipping Group Holdings (HKG:2409) recorded a 179% increase in attributable profit for the six months ended June 30 to $30.7 million from $11 million in the year-ago period.
Earnings per share were $0.061 in the first half, up from $0.025 a year prior, a Wednesday bourse filing stated.
The shipping company's revenue rose 16% to $137.8 million from $119.2 million a year earlier.
Shares of the company closed 5% higher on Thursday.
