Air China's H1 Loss Narrows as Revenue Jumps 33%

Air China's (HKG:0753, SHA:601111) attributable loss narrowed to 2.78 billion yuan in the first half of the year from 3.45 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the airline narrowed to 0.1767 yuan from 0.2239 yuan in the previous year.

Revenue for the six months ended June 30 grew 33% to 79.52 billion yuan from 59.61 billion yuan a year earlier.

Shares grew nearly 2% during recent Friday trading in Hong Kong.
