GCL Technology Holdings Swings to Loss in H1 as Revenue Falls 58%; Shares Jump 3%

GCL Technology Holdings (HKG:3800) swung to an attributable loss of 1.48 billion yuan in the first half from a profit of 5.52 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The solar materials manufacturer's loss per share came in at 0.056 yuan, versus EPS of 0.2075 yuan in the previous year.

Revenue declined 58% to 8.86 billion yuan from 20.9 billion yuan a year earlier.

Shares increased 3% during Friday's afternoon trading.
