Chalco's H1 Attributable Profit Balloons 105% Despite Lower Operating Income

Aluminum Corp. of China (SHA:601600, HKG:2600) or Chalco's attributable profit rose 105% to 7.02 billion yuan in the first half from 3.42 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the aluminum company increased 106% to 0.408 yuan from 0.198 yuan in the previous year.

Operating income declined 17% to 110.7 billion yuan from 134.1 billion yuan a year earlier.

Chalco declared an interim dividend of 0.082 yuan per share, payable Dec. 31, according to a separate filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The record date is yet to be announced.
