China Galaxy Securities' H1 Profit Falls 11%; Shanghai Shares Jump 10%

China Galaxy Securities' (SHA:601881, HKG:6881) attributable profit fell 11% to 4.39 billion yuan in the first half from 4.94 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share at the securities company decreased 19% to 0.35 yuan from 0.43 yuan in the previous year.

Revenue inched down 0.4% to 22.9 billion yuan from 23 billion yuan a year earlier.

The company declared an interim dividend of 0.84 yuan per 10 shares or 0.084 yuan per share. The payment and record dates are yet to be announced.

Shares jumped 10% in Shanghai and 8% in Hong Kong during Friday's morning trading.
