Shandong Iron and Steel's (SHA:600022) loss attributable to shareholders in the first half of 2024 widened to 968.1 million yuan, or 0.0906 yuan per share, from 249.7 million yuan, or 0.0233 yuan per share.
The Chinese steelmaker posted a six-month operating income of 45.2 billion yuan, down 3.7% from 47 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Shares of the company rose more than 2% in recent trade.
