Central New Energy Holding Group (HKG:1735) recorded a profit attributable to owners of HK$40.6 million for the six months ended June 30, higher than HK$16.1 million logged for the corresponding period last year, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
Earnings per share stood at HK$0.0096 for the reporting period, compared to HK$0.0038 recorded for the year-ago period.
The investment holding engineering and construction company's revenue for the first half of this year was HK$2.53 billion, 52.5% higher than HK$1.66 billion booked a year ago.
The company attributed the increase in revenue to an increase in the sales volume of photovoltaic components and high-efficiency N-type batteries and increased revenue from the company's health and wellness and smart energy management services segments.
