China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) recorded a loss attributable to equity holders of 2.77 billion yuan for the six months ended June 30, narrower than the 6.26 billion yuan loss a year ago, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
Loss per share attributable to equity holders stood at 0.12 yuan for the reporting period, compared with 0.28 yuan recorded in the year-ago period.
The airline's revenue in the first half of the year was 64.20 billion yuan, 29.67% higher than 49.51 billion yuan booked a year ago. The company attributed the increase in revenue to an increase in its passenger and cargo revenues.
The board did not declare any dividend for the period.
