Deutsche Lufthansa and Italy's ITA Airways said they will resume flights to Tel Aviv from Thursday after having had previously suspended flights to the Israeli city amid regional security concerns.
ITA Airways said Tuesday that it will initially resume day-time flights connecting Rome to Tel Aviv, but that night-time flights will remain suspended until the end of the month and restart from Oct. 1.
ITA said it would continue to monitor developments in the region and how they could affect operations.
Separately, the German carrier said its flights to Beirut in Lebanon will remain suspended until Sept. 30. The carrier's flights to Amman in Jordan and Erbil in northern Iraq resumed on August 27.
