0249 GMT - China Resources Gas seems set for an even stronger earnings rebound in 2H after a rosy recovery in 1H, CCB International analysts write in a note. The gas utilities group's earnings may be supported by factors including a lower earnings base in 2H 2023, they say. Profit from gas sales could rise around 10% on year due to higher gas volumes and margin expansion, the analysts add. The company may also continue outperforming its peers in the near term, thanks to its highly certain earnings trajectory in 2024 and dividend growth, they say. CCB International maintains an outperform rating on the stock with a HK$30.00 target. Shares are 0.35% higher at HK$28.45.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
