China Yangtze Power's H1 Profit Jumps 28%, Operating Income Rises 12%

China Yangtze Power's (SHA:600900) first-half net profit attributable to shareholders jumped 27.9% year on year to 11.4 billion yuan, or 0.4644 yuan per share, according to a Saturday filing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The Chinese hydroelectricity company's profit a year earlier was 8.88 billion yuan, or 0.3630 yuan per share, the company's earnings report said.

The operating income for the period stood at 34.8 billion yuan, up 12.4% from the year-ago operating income of nearly 31.0 billion yuan.

Shares of the company rose more than 1% at the close.
