0902 GMT - India and Australia will be key growth markets for Singtel, the DBS Group Research team writes in a note. Its Australia business, Optus, will benefit in fiscal 2025 from cost reductions and narrowed losses in its enterprise business, as well as its recent tariff hike with about 65% of customers on revised plans, the team says. Its associate Bharti Airtel in India will meanwhile also benefit from further tariff hikes. At its investor day, Singtel mentioned that there is room for share buybacks and capital reductions, which could serve as additional shareholder returns on top of regular dividends, they add. As such, DBS retains a buy rating with a target price of S$3.50 on the stock. Shares are 0.3% lower at S$3.12. (kimberley.kao@wsj.com)
