Elis Aims to Buy U.S. Uniform Provider Vestis, Reuters Reports

--Elis, a French workplace services and supply company, approached Vestis, a U.S. uniform supplier, with an offer to buy the company, Reuters reports, citing anonymous sources.

--Shares in Elis fell 15.7% to 19.49 euros following the report. Vestis shares closed up 11.7% at $15.29 on Thursday.

--Elis declined to comment on the report when approached by Dow Jones Newswires. Vestis did not respond after normal business hours in the U.S.
