Pacific Edge (ASX:PEB, NZE:PEB) Chair Chris Gallaher has accepted the board of directors' request to delay his planned retirement to 2025, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The request was made to "provide stability and confidence" amid uncertainties over the Medicare coverage status for the cancer diagnostics company's Cxbladder tests.

Gallaher's retirement was originally set for the end of this year.
