GEM Ties Up With Minmetals, Eigen Equation Graphene Technology for Battery Waste Recycling System

Chinese battery material manufacturer and recycler GEM (SHE:002340) partnered with China Minmetals Group and Shenzhen Eigen Equation Graphene Technology to establish a recycling industrial processing center, according to a Tuesday disclosure on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

The parties will invest in the research and development of developing a recycling system for lithium battery waste.

China Minmetals will supply natural graphite raw materials, spherical graphite and spherical graphite tailings for the process while GEM will provide a supply chain of waste graphite raw materials to Eigen Equation Graphene Technology, the filing noted.
