Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) said Thursday that the latest version of its electric-powered VX4 aircraft prototype has completed the first phase of its piloted flight test program.
During phase 1, the VX4 prototype conducted multiple piloted tethered flights and ground runs to measure flight and safety parameters, the company said.
Vertical said its engineers have also completed advanced low and high-speed taxi tests of controllability and safety.
