Huaneng Power International's Parent Boosts Stake in Firm

Huaneng Structural Adjustment Fund bought 15 million A shares in Huaneng Power International (HKG:0902, SHA:600011) on Sept. 9, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.

Huaneng Structural Adjustment is a private equity fund owned 86.25% by Huaneng Group, the ultimate controlling shareholder of Huaneng Power International.

Before the acquisition, Huaneng Group and its concert parties held a combined 7.23 billion shares in Huaneng Power, equivalent to a 46.09% stake.

Following the share purchase, Huaneng Group's shareholding in Huaneng Power rose to 46.19%.

The purchaser intends to acquire more A shares of the company, the filing stated.
