ITI Secures Order Worth INR3 Billion to Install Solar Street Light Systems; Shares Jump 5%

Telecom manufacturer ITI (NSE:ITI, BOM:523610) has bagged an order worth 3 billion Indian from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Authority (BREDA), according to a Tuesday filing to the stock exchanges.

The contract is for the supply and installation of 100,000 units of solar street light systems to the Bihar state government.

The new order is in addition to the 80,000 solar street light systems contract the company is already executing in Bihar for BREDA.

Shares of the company were up 5% in recent trade.
