Limoneria Sees More Avocados, Fewer Lemons -- Market Talk

Dow Jones09-10

1750 ET - Produce company Limoneria raised its outlook for fiscal year 2024 avocado volumes, while slightly lowering its outlook for lemons in the same period. The company raised its expectations of avocado volumes to a range of 14.5 million pounds to 15.5 million pounds, from previous guidance of 9 million pounds to 10 million pounds. Fresh lemon volumes are now expected to be in the range of 4.5 million cartons to 5 million cartons, from earlier estimates of a range of 5 million cartons to 5.5 million cartons. The company said the decline in lemons is the result of lower fresh utilization due to late season rains. (stephen.nakrosis@wsj.com)
