In this instance, Macquarie is not the most expensive but third on the list of five, with a ratio of 1.61. That means that for every dollar of estimated earnings growth, investors pay $1.61. Considering this information, perhaps investors are buying Macquarie shares on the basis of \"price is what you pay, value is what you get\".
