Core Lithium Acquires 7.6 Million Shares in Charger Metals, Secures Interest in Bynoe Project

Core Lithium (ASX:CXO) has agreed to acquire 7.6 million shares in Charger Metals NL (ASX:CHR), held by Lithium Australia (ASX:LIT) via the issue of 6 million new Core Lithium shares, according to a Tuesday filing to the Australian bourse.

Following the acquisition, set for completion before Sept. 20, Core Lithium will have a 9.8% stake in Charger Metals while Lithium Australia will have a 0.3% interest in Core Lithium, the filing added.

In a separate deal, Core Lithium will also acquire Lithium Australia's 30% interest in the Byone project in the Northern Territory for AU$500,000 cash, with Charger Metals owning 70% of the project, as per the filing.
