AML3D Signs Deal with BlueForge Alliance to Expand Manufacturing Opportunities for US Navy; Shares Up 12%

Technology company AML3D (ASX:AL3) partnered with US non-profit BlueForge Alliance to expand its manufacturing opportunities for US Navy parts, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.

BlueForge Alliance agreed to provide technical assistance and data on US Navy submarine parts and components, allowing the company to use its ARCEMY Wire-arc additive manufacturing metal 3D printing systems for manufacturing, testing, and validating a wider range of submarine parts, the filing said.

The contract, which is open-ended and has no fixed term, also enables the company to collaborate with other US Navy submarine suppliers to exchange technical assistance and data, per the filing.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

AML3D shares rose nearly 12% in morning trade on Thursday.
