Boeing Strike News Gets Mixed Reactions Among European Aerospace Stocks -- Market Talk

0836 GMT - It is a mixed picture for European aircraft-part suppliers and plane maker Airbus in morning trade in Europe following news of a strike at Boeing's manufacturing facility in Seattle. Workers at the embattled U.S. aircraft manufacturer went on strike early Friday, halting the production of several aircraft types. Shares in European rival Airbus are down 0.7% at 129.86 euros and shares of London-listed engine manufacturer Rolls Royce are down 0.75% at 490.10 pence. France's Dassault Aviation is down 0.3% at 188.90 euros while Safran--a French aircraft-component manufacturer--is up 0.15% at 202.70 euros. Germany's MTU Aero Engines is up 0.3% at 276.30 euros a share. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
