MT Newswires Live09-16

Yuexiu Transport Infrastructure (HKG:1052) logged lower traffic volume and toll revenue in the majority of its projects in July compared with the year-ago period, according to a Sunday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The decline is attributable to a greater willingness to travel during the year-ago period following the relaxation of COVID-19 protocols, the filing said.

The GNSR Expressway, which had the highest average daily toll traffic volume among the group's projects, logged a marginal 1.2% rise in the figure to 329,660 during the month, the filing said. Its revenue fell 7.8% year over year to 97.1 million yuan during the month.

The Daguangnan Expressway recorded the steepest decline in its average daily toll traffic volume at about 23% to 22,613 vehicles while revenue at Lanwei Expressway slid the lowest at 17% to 23.4 million yuan.
