Planet Labs PBC Unit Enters Contract to Provide Data to German Space Agency

Planet Labs PBC's (PL) Planet Labs Germany unit said Monday that it has entered a three-year contract with the German Space Agency.

The company said it will provide Earth observation data and services to the agency and German researchers to back their research and development efforts.

The contract will give German researchers, including startups, access to Planet's data like near-daily imagery of Earth and a data archive dating back to 2016. The agency will also receive Planet's RapidEye imagery archive over Germany from 2009, the company said.
