Shanghai International Airport Logs Higher Passenger Throughput in August

Shanghai International Airport (SHA:600009) reported an increase in the number of passengers handled by two of its airports in August, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Pudong International Airport's passenger throughput rose 27% year over year to 7.4 million, while that of Hongqiao International Airport rose 15% to 4.4 million.

Aircraft take-offs and landings climbed 14% to 48,165 flights at Pudong International Airport and 3.7% to 24,060 flights at Hongqiao International Airport.

Cargo and mail throughput in Pudong International Airport went up 7% to 315,300 tons, while that of Hongqiao International Airport rose 14% to 34,400 tons.
