LG Innotek's Patents in Automotive Component Sector Hit 3,500 in Five Years

South Korean electronic component manufacturer LG Innotek (KRX:011070) has filed 3,500 patents related to automotive components over the past five years, according to a Friday release.

The company said that 40% of its patent applications are now focused on the automotive components sector.

The company is prioritizing advanced vehicle technologies, including LiDAR, camera modules, and communication systems. It has also secured five standard essential patents for its electronic vehicle communication controller, the release said.

Shares of LG Innotek rose nearly 2% in recent trade on Friday.
