MT Newswires Live09-13

Lithium Plus Minerals (ASX:LPM) reported significant uplifts in lithium head grades from its ore sorting trials on samples from the Lei deposit within the Bynoe project in the Northern Territory, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

One of the notable results returned 5.3% lithium oxide head grade at 8.3% mass yield, representing a 370% uplift, the filing stated. The reading also showed a low 0.3% ferric oxide content.

The company said the results are likely to boost the viability of a direct shipped ore commercialization pathway for the Lei deposit.

The minerals explorer's shares were up nearly 16% in recent Friday trade.
