Canyon Resources (ASX:CAY) secured a mining license for the Minim Martap bauxite project in Cameroon, allowing the mining firm to start development and production at the site for a total of 20 years, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The grant was commemorated with a formal signing ceremony between the company's Chief Executive, Jean-Sebastien Boutet, and Pr Fuh Calistus Gentry, Cameroon's interim Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, the filing added.
