NickelX (ASX:NKL) is set to finalize the acquisition of the Penny South gold project in Western Australia, following shareholder approval for the issue of consideration shares to the vendors, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian Securities Exchange.
The company also completed the second tranche of its AU$2 million capital raising, comprising about AU$1.7 million via the placement of 85.5 million shares at AU$0.02 apiece, the filing said.
Additionally, shareholders approved the company name change to Strata Minerals, with the ASX ticker SMX, the filing added.
Shares rose 4% in midday trade Tuesday.
