Wanguo International Mining Group's (HKG:3939) name change to Wanguo Gold Group is slated to take effect on Sept. 23, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The short name "WANGUO MINING" will also change to "WANGUO GOLD GP" on the same day.

The stock code will remain the same.

Shares closed 1% higher during Tuesday's trading.
