Corteva (CTVA) and Pairwise on Tuesday said they have teamed up to fast-track the delivery of advanced gene editing tools for farmers, aiming to enhance environmental sustainability and consumer benefits.
Corteva will make a $25 million equity investment in Pairwise through its Corteva Catalyst platform. The investment will help expand gene editing for use in a wide range of crops, while a new five-year joint venture will use this technology to boost crop yields and resilience to climate change, according to a joint statement.
Shares of Corteva were up 1.2% in recent Tuesday trading.
